Services on Sunday
Holy Communion (BCP) is on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 8.30am. We gather for a reflective, traditional service from The Book of Common Prayer (1662) with a short sermon. This service is held in the chancel in St Denys church and lasts about 50 minutes.
Just Come is an informal and relaxed time of prayer and praise before the Parish Communion service on the first, second, fourth and fifth Sundays from 9.45am to 10.15am. Feel free to join us for all or just some of the worship. This service leads straight into the Parish Communion at 10.15.

Family Communion is normally on the first, second, fourth and fifth Sunday of the month at 10.15am. This is a fairly informal service that lasts about an hour and a quarter and people of all ages are very welcome.
The service is based on the modern liturgy in Common Worship and there is a good mixture of contemporary and traditional music with a sermon that seeks to apply the timeless truth of the Bible to the practicalities of our lives today.
For very young children and their carers there is small a 'Kids Zone' at the back of the church with toys and colouring materials. We don't yet have a separate room for a creche, but plans for reordering are underway - so watch this space!
Most Sundays during term-time our children and young people go out to St Denys Kids for 40 minutes during the service, during which time they learn more about God, pray together, worship and do some craft activities based on the topic of the teaching that week. They come back to the service in time for Communion.
Do stay for refreshments after the service.
Family Service is an informal time of worship and teaching for all ages together in the church at 10.15am on the third Sunday of the month. This service lasts about 45 minutes and is also followed by refreshments.
Evening Prayer (BCP) is held in St Denys on the second Sunday of the month at 6pm. This is a traditional, reflective service with hymns, Bible readings, canticles, prayers and a short sermon.
Services during the week
Holy Communion (BCP) - there is a traditional said service of Holy Communion from The Book of Common Prayer (1662) every Wednesday during term time at 10.30am in the chancel. There is a short sermon and the whole service normally lasts for about 50 minutes.
Time for God is held on the first Tuesday of the month at 3pm. It is a short service that lasts about half an hour and contains hymns, prayers and a short talk.
Time for God is aimed particularly at those who are retired and perhaps who might not always enjoy the larger services on Sunday mornings. After we have worshipped together there is plenty of time for tea, cake and chat at the back of the church. This service is normally led by Jill Smith, one of our Licensed Lay Ministers.
